Northern Saw-Whet Owl Delta B.C.

Delta!!!!!!!!

My parents and I went on a day trip to Delta B.C.. At our first stop we saw lots of cool birds, all of which I'd already seen this year until we spotted a Northern Saw-whet Owl and a Great Horned. At our second destination we saw six Short-eared Owls, an American Bittern and a few Western Meadowlarks all of which are new birds for me.

The Brown Creeper and the Cackling Goose are two birds I have been looking for since march. However I  have just seen them in the last three weeks.

I was lucky enough to see a Mute Swan in the Courtenay area which is not especially common!

Snowy Plovers are very rare on Vancouver island but a stray landed on a beach in Tofino! Toby, her dad and I were fortunate enough to see it! This is the most rare bird Toby and I have seen so far this year!(:
