The hooded merganser is one of my favorite ducks even though it is extremely common here on the coast. I painted this duck with one of my best friends (Toby) who also has a blog called (Birdy McBirdface).
Hi Cedar, my name is Dominique and I'm a friend of your mom from work. Love your blog and one day i hope you can take me birding with you.I am not good at drawings but I love taking photos. Congratulations on your blog !
Hi Dominique I remember you and your apples. I would love to go birding with you next time you are in our neck of the woods, you could stay a night or two in the tree house! p.s. I love photography too!
This is a great start, Cedar! I love how you introduced yourself. I hope you find this creative outlet very rewarding. Thanks to Birdy McBirdface, I found your blog!
Cedar! I love your blog and your birds and the ideas behind it. I will be sure to follow your artistic development, you are very talented and I am excited to see where you take this gift. Miss and you and hope to come visit again this summer! xoxo Rose <3
Hi Cedar! It's been a few years since we saw you and your parents. We used to live in Tofino....myself, François, Sojourn and Imaji. That was 8 and 1/2 years ago, though so we were all younger then! It's so great to see you on line with this blog. I will follow it to learn about the birds you love. Please give hugs to your parents for me and if you ever visit Nelson, you have a place to stay!
Hi Cedar, I found your blog through your Dad,s Facebook page and I love birds too! I live in Victoria near Swan Lake which is a nature sanctuary that gets dozens of different types of birds. I built my entire garden around attracting them, and so far I have counted 37 species in Mt back yard over the past decade. My favourites are the Rosy breasted nuthatch - I love their slate blue backs and punk chests and the smart tilt of their heads. If u are ever visiting the city, go for a walk around Swan Lake, you will not be disappointed!
Congratulations, Cedar!
